What makes Krav Maga such a great defensive system from all the others?? It is far from most sport oriented martial arts as there are no points, "disqualifying" techniques, belts or titles to win. Krav Maga provides real world answers to real world problems, period. It will get you in great physical & mental shape and give you the skills you need to effectively protect yourself faster and safer than any other program available.
CT/Krav Maga 2 is our Intermediate class for those who have successfully tested out of KMB. Here you'll learn additional combatives, counters, and defenses that require a full understanding of the fundamentals found in Level 1. We ratch' up the intensity and begin to introduce weapon defenses/disarms into the curriculum. Protective gear such as shin guards, boxing gloves, and a mouth piece will be needed for all Level 2 students.
This is our Advance Class, students will learn techniques and strikes that require more coordination, balance, speed, and precision. All of which will have been acquired from attending and successfully completing levels 1 and 2. You'll obtain additional weapon defenses/disarms as well as more technical ground instruction. Regular sparring sessions are conducted in lieu of our standard warm-ups. Along with combination strike drills and more!
It's important to note that this is NOT a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) class. We grapple (roll) but don't train for competition or tournaments. We train in t-shirt, pants/shorts, and shoes. Our goal is to give you a better understanding of ground tactics and techniques so if the fight goes to the ground, you'll be familiar with how to navigate the "waters". In Ground Combatives you'll develop skills to deal with one on one ground assaults, person with weapons and multiple attackers.
Men and women enjoy our Sparring 101 classes for their easy instruction and our high priority placed on safety. Although sparring is not considered self defense training, many useful lessons can be found in sparring. Our sessions consist of understanding reach/range, strike combinations, 'fight ready' conditioning and so much more. Protective gear required for class include: Shin guards, boxing gloves and a mouth piece.
(head gear optional).
